Virtual Racing News: Virtual Race to benefit the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum is November 3, 2017
Virtual Racing for a cause is a fun way that you can help organizations in need. If you need a little push to run that extra mile, running for a cause can be great motivation! And, sharing your fun racing experiences with friends on social media has a ripple effect. Almost all of the active Virtual Racing groups have a current race for a local or national cause. Electronic Running chose the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum in Champaign, IL for the inaugural race of 2017.
The Orpheum is a local landmark that was converted into a Children’s Museum, and it is an important community resource for kids and parents. The Orpheum sponsors programs to encourage kids to learn about their bodies and become more healthy and active. And, the Orpheum has a list of immediate needs and wish list items ranging from new toys and supplies to new laptops and major equipment that are attainable for a group of runners who want to help out. Check out their annual report at www.orpheumkids.org for a complete list of current needs.
The Orpheum Virtual Race medal was designed to match the Theater’s original marquee, which is still in place today. Earn this inaugural 2017 medal by signing up at www.electronicrunning.com. Run virtually with our supportive fitness group anytime on November 3, 2017, or on any day or at any time that you choose.
